This recipe is so popular in our house and with my clients. It’s made in advance so great for saving time on busy mornings. The oats and seeds make it a great source of fibre and the yoghurt adds healthy bacteria for gut health. Like all my recipes it’s designed to keep you fuller for longer.
SERVES 1
Ingredients
- 80ml milk of your choice (I use almond)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- 35g oats⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- 60g natural yoghurt of your choice⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- 1 tbls. chia or flax seeds ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- 1 tsp. honey or maple syrup ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- ½ tsp. vanilla essence⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- ½ tsp. ground cinnamon⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Small handful of fruit e.g. blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, cherries ( I use frozen)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Method⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Combine all ingredients except the fruit in a jar. Stir well and top with fruit. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Cover jar with lid and refrigerate overnight.
- I like to top mine with dark chocolate shavings which I use a potato peeler to make.
I often do a batch of these as they keep in the fridge for 3-4 days. Feel free to vary the fruits, seeds, milks and yoghurt to your own taste.
